Sir William Douglas’ Troop of Horse was a Covenanter Troop guarding the Borders during the Second Bishops’ War, active in 1640 in Teviotdale.

Raised by Sir William Douglas, Sheriff of Teviotdale, their role was to guard the Borders against possible English incursion, based at Gerat. The Troop consisted of 60 men.
