Wallace Douglas was born on August 15, 1911 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada as Wallace Stuart Douglas Finlayson. He was a Canadian producer, director and actor. He was the son of Robert Barnett Finlayson, born 22nd September 1888 in Kimberley, Diamandveld, Northern Cape, South Africa, and Emiline Marcia Bird.

He is known for his work on Break the News (1938), The Love Wager (1933) and The Chinese Den (1940).

He was married to Pamela Frost, Anne Crawford, Phillippa Avril Kennedy and Peggy Chester.

His brother was the actor, known as Robert Douglas. They has a sister, Cynthia Emily Finlayson .

He died on August 8, 1990 in Coldwaltham, West Sussex, England.
