Major Roderick Walter Sholto Douglas, a grandson of the 19 Earl of Morton, was born on 16 July 1908. He married, firstly, Elizabeth Margaret Cooper, daughter of Stephen Clement Paston Cooper and Florence Gertrude Taylor, on 7 November 1935. He and Elizabeth Margaret Cooper were divorced in 1949. He married, secondly, Margaret Tennent on 13 February 1950.

A Major in the Royal Armoured Corps.  He was also an agent in the SOE, as was his brother, Peter.

Juliet Elizabeth Douglas   b. 1941
Alastair Sholto Douglas   b. 15 Jan 1949

Bruce Sholto Douglas   b. 17 Jul 1951

Roderick Walter Sholto Douglas died in 1990
