Dr Callum Watson   

 


Callum is a Steward at Blackness Castle. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a PhD thesis entitled 'Attitudes Towards Chivalry in Barbour's Bruce and Hary's Wallace', looking at knighthood in fourteenth- and fifteenth-century Scotland.

 

He served as a historical advisor on Outlaw King, and appeared in the BBC documentary Rise of the Clans.

 

Callum was a sometime Battle Coordinator at the Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre just outside Stirling, guiding visitors around the high tech 3D exhibition at the Centre and also a member of the Late Antique and Medieval Postgraduate Society (LAMPS) at the University of Edinburgh.
