Barrington Sholto Douglas Campbell, 5th Baron Blythswood (1877–1937) was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England . He was the son of Maj Gen Sir Barrington Bulkeley (3rd Baron Blythswood ) Douglas-Campbell, and Mildred Catherine Hawley.

He succeeded his brother to the title of 5th Baron Blythswood, co. Renfrew [U.K., 1892] on 14 November 1929. He, in turn, was succeeded by his brother, Leopold Colin Henry Douglas Campbell/Campbell.

A pastel portrait by Percy Gleaves (1882-1944 )of a man, 3/4 length, with blank face; in morning dress, holding hat in left hand. (?Barrington Sholto Douglas-Campbell, 5th Baron Blythswood (1870-1929)) is held in the Royal Collection.
