Research notes:

Sicilian Baroness Anna Vento married a Flemish noble called Enrico (Henry) Dich Scott Douglas.
He became baron of "Salina di Trapani" and from him descend Baron Gaspare Dich and his daughter Ann Dich.

The marriage between Anna Vento and Henry Dich Scott Douglas happened at the beginning of 17th Century, perhaps at the end of 16th century. So, we're talking about the Reign of Sicily ("Regno di Sicilia").

The Henry's paternal family is Dich, a Flemish noble family, according to an historical source that I consulted. The second surname is Scott Douglas, so I deduce that it is the surname of his maternal family. However, I don't know if my source tells the truth. It's custom, in particular, in Sicily and Spain to put the maternal surname next to that of the father, as you will know.

Ptolemy Reda was Captain of Justice in Trapani in 1479/80. In 1498 Poliomy succeeded Giacobello, married the noble Palma Fardella and died still young, in a shipwreck on December 7, 1525. With his son Bartolomeo groomed by Sivilla Mongiardino, the male line of Reda's home disappeared, having only two daughters One of which, Sivilla, was Dominican and the other, Giovannella, brought. At the death of his father in 1572, the salt baron of Reda in her husband's house, Simeone Vento and Iron Secret Secret. Their nephew, Anna, married a Flemish nobleman, Enrico Dich Scot Douglas, who moved to Trapani and the baron remained in the Dich family until 1682, when Anna Dich married Giuseppe Fardella Crapanzano; The same, ten years later, he married John Maria Omode in second marriage. The male sons of these marriages were those Blandano Fardello and Enrico Omodei who we will see protagonists of the renovation work of the saline. Having not had the first direct descendants, the salt passes entirely to the Homodei family and from those to the Riccio, the barons of St. Gioacchino. In 1872, as a result of a dispute between the children of Francesca Omodei (formerly Placido Riccio, Baron of St. Joachim) and a homonymous cousin of this, another woman Francesca Omodei, wife of Emanuele Milone, baron of Aliminusa, From which a large donation on Reda saline that had not been met, the civil court of Trapani, made the saline to the public glamor. He made the award at the hearing on 5 October of the same year, for the sum of lire 144010, the lawyer Giacomo D'alì in whose family the salt salon remained, continuing his productive rhythms and receiving further transformations and improvements until 1961 , The year in which the salinity joined together in the SIES (Società Industriale Estrazione Sali) spa, which still today partly belongs (although not working because it is logistically peripheral in the structure of the rationalized and modernized facilities of the company
