Archibald   

Archibald Douglas was born in Oxford in 1896, the son of Robert Langton Douglas and Margaret Jane Cannon. He was educated at Tonbridge School, 1910 – 1915.

He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Field Artillery, and subsequently attached to the Royal Flying Corps.

He was killed on 16th October 1916 and is buried at Ration Farm Military Cemetery, La Chapelle D’Armentieres.

He was a younger brother of Sholto Douglas, Marshal of the Royal Air Force.
