Captain Samuel Douglass Academy is located at 24 Townsend Hill Rd, Brookline New Hampshire. It is a coeducational Public school that serves grade levels 4-6.

Capt Samuel Douglass was a soldier in the Revolutionary war. He led a band of soldiers in response to the alarm at Townsend Hill, then known as Nissequassick Hill.

He was the son of Samuel and Hepzibah (Richardson) Douglas, and was brother to Hepzibah, Mary, Phinebas and Joseph.

In 1764, he married Marry Connat in Brookline, New Hampshire and they had a son, also called Samuel (b1769), who became a deacon
