Richard William Glode Douglas migrated (free settler) in 1853 aboard the Albermarle. He disembarked in Victoria but evenually settled in Qld, and was buried at Banana.

 

William Douglas left Limavady, Londonderry and came to NZ in 1860 with 10 children on the 'Blue Jacket'. They stopped in Australia on the way, but settled north of Auckland, before moving to Tauranga and farming.
