The Alnwick Roll of Service Book is bound in dark red morocco leather with embossed cover, with inside pages of vellum with colour and gold leaf. The book sits on a wooden stand with a glass cover. The Book is illuminated, written by hand. The names of those who died are blocked with gold paint. (I regret that I have not been able to note the names of those who died.)
