Sir William Douglas of Glenbervie, 9th Earl of Angus

 

Great-grandson of Archibald "Bell the Cat", the 5th Earl of Angus, Sir William, born circa 1532, gained the Earldom after the death of Archibald, 8th Earl of Angus, without heir. Sir William was married in 1552 to Egidia, daughter of Robert Graham of Morphic, and died in 1591.
