He was the son of Paolo Antonio Scotti Douglas, Conte di Sarmato and Emilia Rangon

Timeline


In 1551, Carlo Scotti fought in the war of Parma with 500 infantry.
In 1553, He faced the Medici and Imperials in the war of Siena.
In 1565, he went to the defense of Malta against the Turks. He is commanded by a colonel of infantrymen.
At about this time, he was at the service of the Duke of Parma and Piacenza Ottavio Farnese.
In October 1571, Alessandro Farnese follows against the Turks. Carlo Scotti participates in the battle of Lepanto aboard a Genoese galley of which he has command.
The Duke of Parma Ottavio Farnese used him as ambassador to the King of France Henry III, former King of Poland. He is in the king's retinue when he returns to France.
He died at the beginning of the January 1582
