Adam Black Douglas was minister of Carnock (1843 - 1862). He came from the Presbyterian Church of England
He was born 1805, the son of Adam Douglas farmer & miller, and Isobel Blair.  Before coming to Carnock he had been minister of Scots church Gatehead-on-Tyne

Douglas married 10.1.1859, Jane, the daughter of Peter M'Gill town clerk of Kinross. There is no record of any family.

He died in Edinburgh 23.4.1862 at the age of 57. He was buried in the ministers burial ground at the west end of the old church. Unfortunately his headstone is broken into several pieces but can still be read quite clearly.
