    • At the time of Maude's marriage to Nelson Kinder, William and Stella were living at 31 Jefferson St. in Blissfield, MI.
At the time of the marriage of grandson Arnold Reister, in December 1951, William and Stella were living in a duplex in Adrian, MI.

They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary - an article from the Adrian Daily Telegram, which included a picture, states:

Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Case of 411 East Front Street are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary today. In recognition of the ooasion they were honored Sunday with a family dinner that was attended by their children and grandchildren. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Case and family of Blissfield, Mrs. Hope Reister and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Mlton Powell and family of Adrian, Stf.Sgt. and Mrs. Wellington Wotring and family of Adrian, Mr. and Mrs. Amil Filter and family of Palmyra, Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Reister and family of Waldron and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Allen of Adrian. Other dinner guests were Mrs. Josie Ostrum of Detroit, George Rothfuss of Blissfield, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Allen of Clayton and Miss Carolyn Pantz of Toledo. Unable to attend were a granddaughter, Mrs. Maryann Baum who is away attending school, and a great grandson Terry August Reister who is ill.

In the afternoon and evening Mr. and Mrs. Case entertained with an open house, more than 100 guests attending. They received many lovely gifts and flowers. The serving table was laid with a lovely drawnwork linen cloth and decorated with a gold and white floral piece, a gift of the grandchildren, flanked with six lighted tapers. A gold and white wedding cake topped with a golden bell graced one end of the table whle coffee was served from a silver service at the other end.

An afternoon telephone call came from Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Foor of Everett, PA, cousins of the honored couple. Friends who attended the open house came from Toledo, Detroit, Tecumseh, Ogden, Jasper, Palmyra, Clayton, Blissfield and Adrian.

  • Notes
    • According to Hope Case this child lived only a few hours and had a major back deformation. She claimed because Estella complained about pain in her back during her whole pregnancy. (An old wives tale?) Probably had what we call now as spina biffida. Unknown burial place - not found in Zion Cemetery where all Case families were buried.
