GENESEO -- Mader A. Mariman, 94, of Geneseo, died Monday, Nov. 24,2003 at Hammond-Henry Hospital Skilled Care, Geneseo.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26 at St.Malachy's Catholic Church, Geneseo. The Rev. Michael Pakula willofficiate. Burial will be in North Cemetery, Geneseo. Visitation willbe from 5 to 8 this evening at Vandemore Funeral Home, Geneseo, with arosary at 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Malachy's Catholic Church, of which hewas a member.
He was born Nov. 3, 1909 in St. Margurita, Belgium, the son of Leo andEldoie (Ginneberge) Mariman. He married Helen Meulebroeck Oct. 2, 1937in Atkinson.
She survives, as do a son, Vern (Pat) Mariman of Geneseo; grandsonsNick (Jen) Mariman of Hanover Park, Ill. and Nate (Donna) Mariman ofGeneseo; a great-grandson, Carson Mariman; two brothers, Art (Elsie)Mariman and Frank (Lucille) Mariman, both of Geneseo; a sister, MaryVanOpdorp of Geneseo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He was a lifetime farmer in rural Geneseo since 1941 until he retiredin 1975. He enjoyed farming.
