    "GAROLD REDENBAUGH
    Garold was born in Danville, IL on June 7, 1917, to Charlie and NinaRedenbaugh. In 1929, he moved to Fountain County, Cates, Indiana,with his parents, four brothers and one sister; another sister wasborn later after he left home. In 1933, he moved from county tocounty working as a farm hand. He worked Two Falls in Powell, Wyomingas a ranch hand. He settled again in Montgomery County, IN on a dairyfarm, and married Hazel Keller (now deceased) May 10, 1937, fromWingate, IN. Two children were born to this marriage -- Dean, Aug.10, 1938, now living in Danville, Vermillion County, IL and married toSandy Kelsheimer; and June, March 23, 1940, now living on Sand Hill,Fountain County, and married to Vernon Hopper. Garold moved toStockdale farm in Fountain County., Southeast of Veedersburg, IN.
    In 1946 he moved to old Bilsand Place, three miles north of Covington,IN on sand Hill, as a share cropper and dairy farmer for 8 years.During this time he went to Wisconsin and bought 24 head of top gradeHolstein calves for the dairy farm. He also raised purebred Tamworthhogs for sale and show. He showed Tamworth stock at the IndianapolisState Fair for 10 years.
    He bought the farm in 1955 and two years drought sent him to HarrisonSteel in 1963. He sold dairy cattle but continued stock farming andworking at Harrisons to pay for the farm; during which time he alsofarmed on shares for Frank Shelby and other neighbors for severalyears. Frank and Garold were also partners in beef cattle and sheep.
    On May 11, 1968, Garold married Linda Stoup. They had a son GregoryDean, born July 27, 1969.
    He had six grandchildren -- five of whom have lived in Fountain Countymost of the time; Jamie June Breeden, James Wesley Breeden, Jr. andClyde Vernon Hopper are June's children. Garold Dean, II and GlennDean are Dean's sons, who we have raised along with my wife's brotherRichard Dale Stoup. His 6th grandchild is Dean's daughter, Melody Suewho was born and lives in Danville, IL.
    His great-granddaughter, Jada June, is 10 months old -- Jamie'sdaughter.
    In 1965, Garold gave my daughter 2 1/4 acres where she still lives.Garold has sold 20 acres to several families, who have built homes onSand Hill.

    Garold Dean Redenbaugh
    June 7, 1917-Nov. 24, 2005;
    Garold Dean Redenbaugh, 88, Covington died Thursday in his residence.
    Mr. Redenbaugh was a farmer all of his life and employed 16 years atHarrison Steel Castings.
    He was born June 7, 1917, at Danville, Ill., to James Charles and NinaAlta Nehemiah Redenbaugh. He married Hazel A. Keller, and latermarried Linda L. Stoup May 11, 1969 at Covington. She survives.
    Also surviving are three children, Herley Dean (Sandy) Redenbaugh,Tilton, Ill., June E. (Vernon) Hopper, Covington,Gregory Dean (Julie)Redenbaugh Covington; two Sisters, Beulah (Robert) Woolwine, Kingmanand Fauniel (Milo) Bever, Covington; brother-in-law, Richard DaleStoup; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and twogreat-great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by three brothers, Earl, Don and Durward anda granddaughter, Jamie Breeden Morris.
    Funeral services are scheduled 11 a.m. Monday in Shelby Funeral Homewith Paul Kent officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.Friends may call 2-5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

    Garold married Hazel A. Keller on 10 May 1937 in Montgomery County, Indiana, USA. Hazel was born in Wingate, Montgomery County, Indiana; died before 1988. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
