    She graduated from Geneva College in 1928, taught in one room schools for five years, and moved to Chicago in 1933 to work at the Olive Branch Mission Training School, where she remained for over 35 years. She met her husband at the Mission and they worked there together, before retiring to Beaver County, Pennsylvania. She and her husband had no children.
