"John William in 1895 married Dorinda Spraque, 1874-1956, fromKentucky and lived in Yountsville, IN; was employed as steam engineerat Yount Woolen Mill in 1890. He received serious burns to his eyesby a steam explosion while working. The family then moved in with hisfolks while he recovered. He then moved his family to Browns Valley,Montgomery County, Indiana in 1902 (House was formerly a schoolhouse). Bessie Mae, born in Yountsville 1896-1986; six born in BrownsValley: Clara 1899-1919; Elva 1903-1943; Charles 1907-1909; Bertha1910; George 1913; and Jesse 1916. Four are deceased: Bessie, Clara,Elva, and Charles. He was a painter, carpenter, and he rented out his80 acre farm, northwest of town. The farm purchased previous to hismarriage. He cleared the land, put out an orchard, truck patch, andbuilt a barn. Cut all wood used for heating and cooking in home. Hesold apples from his orchard, and fruit trees for Stark Bros. Co. Hewas Director of Browns Valley Bank for years."

John William REYNOLDS 85 of Browns Valley died at his home there Sat.morning at 7 after an illness of 3 weeks of angina pectoris. He wasborn four miles north of Waveland Aug 13, 1859 the son of Napoleon andMalinda CRISLER Reynolds, pioneers in this community. Mr. Reynolds wasmarried at Danville, Ill in 1895 5o Dorinda SPRAGUE who survives him,with two sons, George Reynolds of Dayton, Ohio and Sgt. Jesse Reynoldsof the armed forces; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Armstrong of NewMarket and Mrs. Bertha Friend of Anderson. Two daughters, and one sonpreceded him in death.
