    Source; Margaret ( Peggy ) Pudeler , daughter of Matilda Irene ( Madsen ) Kelly.
    At age of 88yrs. told me that her grandfather ( Charles Madsen ) had married their maid in Denmark, and was expelled from the family , and the family buisness which was the shipping lines . At this date 9/01/2000 I have not verified this report . She said he came to the U.S.A. and traveled around with his wife doing interior decorateing, thus the reason for all of their children being born in so many different states.

    Source of information about Edward comes mostly from Mrs. Margaret (Peggy) Pudeler of New York , City his niece . Also from Census Records .
    Edward and his brother William were born as Madsen , but along about 1922 they changed their last name to Madden , not legally it seems , as there is no record of this that I can find , and William went back to Madsen a short time later , this was done to get some job that they wanted at the time that was only hireing Irish at the time . Edward never went back to the name of Madsen it seems . Thus his two sons was born with the last name of Madden .
    His one son William was later adopted and wasraised as William Kildoo .
    Edward was a salesman for a Pharmacutical Company and traveled around Eastern U.S. hence his son Edward was born in Cincinatti,Ohio and William was born in Manhatten , New York City , N.Y.
    The story goes according to Peggy Pudeler that when Edward John was born in Cincinatti theKlu Klux Klan stole their car .
    Edward Chester Madden , died in a sanitariam in White Plains , N.Y. in 1927 of TB.
    Edward Chester was known as Chester mostly by the family and on census records found.

    Edward married Francis Fae Welch in 1922. Francis (daughter of Frank Welch and Elizabeth Rozeltha Roe) was born on 30 Apr 1899 in New Castle, PA; died on 4 Jan 1945 in South Side Hosp. , Youngstown, OH; was buried in Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown, OH/Youngstown, Mahoning Co., OH.     According to Mrs. Margaret ((Peggy) Puedler of New York , City , the niece of Laura Madsen was married to a Dentist in Detroit , Mich . Not much else is known only that they had a son named John . This information came from the last will of Charles ( 2 nd. ) Madsen , then of , East Northport , Long Island , New York , a copy of which is in the possession of William ( Madden ) Kildoo of Chino Valley , Az. at this date , Aug. 2000.

    Source ; Most imformation on this Charles came from 1910 census of New York City . Only other information came from lawyers in 1963 seeking my whereabouts to settle his estate . My inheritance was $62.40 and I have a copy of his will . (William Madden Kildoo)
    Charles worked for the Parks Dept. of New York City .

Not much is told about William , he was called Uncle Willie , he and Edward Chester came to their sister Irene's (as she was known ) on Sat. night and played music , Banjo and Piano . William's wife name was believed to have been Violette , last name not remembered .
    William worked one time on the Panama Canal as a brick layer .

    Harry's biological father died and he was adopted by Edward Kelly .
