Notes:

Ben was one of six children. He was a school teacher and taught for about eight years. He decided that he liked farming better than teaching and moved back to the 'Old Wilson Farm' which had been in the Wilson family for over 100 years. He and his wife Maphrie Riddle Wilson lived there until his death in 1981, just two months prior to their 50th wedding anniversary. Ben married Julia Riddle on 6 Jun 1931. Julia (daughter of Marion Riddle and Arrie Belle (Arriebell) Randolph) was born on 16 Sep 1910; died on 27 Apr 1992 in Asheville, Buncombe Co., North Carolina; was buried in Wilson Family Cemetery, Yancey Co., North Carolina. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
