Neil's father-in-law is sometimes identified as Quintin Mure of Skeldon.However, under TSP (Cassilis), which identifies Margaret's mother as adaughter of the 1st Earl of Cassilis, he is referred to as 'of Aird' andit is noted that, after Neil's death, Margaret married John Kennedy ofSkeldon. It is possible that John Kennedy obtained Skeldon from hisfather-in-law.
