    From the notes of Joyce Lorraine Clore Elkins of Parke County,Indiana:
    " In 1904, Lydia Clore married Sylvester C. Morris. the Clore Familywere among the earliest settlers in Parke County and became wellknown. Mr. Morris is a Democrat in his political affiliations. Hebelonged to the Tribe of Ben Hur in Crawfordsville, Indiana.Religiously, he is a member of the Christian Church. He was one ofthe well known and enterprising farmer and stock men of MadisonTownship, Montgomery County, Indiana. He witnessed wonderful progressand improvement since taking up residence here.
    He was born in Delaware County, Indiana. The son of Owen D. and NancyCory Morris. They were both natives of Ohio, he of Miami County.Sylvester was only seven when he was brought to Montgomery County. Hefirst married, Catherine Cochran, Dec. 12, 1872, daughter of Harvey H.and Debora Morehouse Cochran. Both were from Fountain County,Indiana. Two children were born of this union.
