- Member of the Committee on Correspondence before the Revolutionary War 1772-3. "In 1777 he with two others were a committee to supply families of soldiers who are in the army." He was a deacon. He was town clerk in 1750-1753, 1755-6. (Warden, p.35)
He owned a corn mill and saw mill given to his son, Elijah, in his will.
