The above mentioned Mary Bethune, after William Scott's decease, was married to Doctor James Dun, principal master of the Grammar School of Aberdeen; and to him had two sons, Alexander and John, and a daughter called Mary. Alexander, the eldest, was educated a writer or attorney. He afterwards became an officer of marines. ? John, the other, was appointed one of the Doctors of his father's school.
