In 1851 census 'Douglass' John was nominally of the region of Clibrig (I believe near Farr) whilst Helen (Nelly) was of Tomich. The couple settled at Farr where they raised their children. The 1861 Census shows the family as living at Altanloughard, Shepherd's House in the Kirkton/Farr area.
