"Obituary John N. Jack
John N. Jack was born Jan 25, 1860, in New Boston, and passed away at5:20 o'clock Sunday evening, Nov. 6, 1937, in his home in Rock Island,where he has resided for 37 years. Mr. Jack died of complicationsafter an illness of three months. He was married to Miss Laura Fullerin New Boston, Nov. 1, 1884. The couple moved to Rock Island in 1900. Mrs. Jack preceded him in death in September, 1932. He retired inJuly this year after following the trade of plasterer for 50 years.Surviving are a brother, Silas, LeClaire, Ia.; a sister, Miss FannieJack, Denver, Colo.; four sons, Carl of St. Louis; Freemont, Cecil andEverett, all of Rock Island; four daughters, Hessie McNall, of NewBoston; Myrtle Miller, Millersburg; Stella Hilligoss, Galesburg andLeona Johnston, Chicago; 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in rockIsland at the Hodgson Mortuary Chapel.
