Born April 26, 1929 in Noble, IL. to the lateHarry and Ella Bradley Martin. Retired from Rovanco in Shorewood, IL.(18 years). He greatly enjoyed fishing and gardening, camping andauto racing. There is a 3 mos. activation of Indiana soldiers in the same regimentthat Lorenzo was in, and in this regiment "6" is a William Martin,however in a different company. It is uncertain that it is thisWilliam Martin, but there is a possibility that it may be. There isalso a William Martin in Reg. 6 as well in the exact same company withLorenzo. It's doubtful however that it is our William, becauseWilliam had moved the family to Illinois prior to 1864, and thiscompany was in effect until 1864. It is more likely that our Williamis the one who signed up for the three months duty.
