He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Landrum Douglas; a son, Scott R. Douglas and his wife, Cristie of Bedford, Alison D. Noakes and her husband, Brian of Bedford, and Robin D. Adams and husband, Darryl of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Kasey Adam Noakes, Kaleb Tyler Noakes, Robert Shelton Douglas, Ashley Michelle Douglas, Garrison Lee Adams, Joel Douglas Adams and Anna Elizabeth Adams; two brothers, George Douglas of Myrtle Beach, SC and Arthur Douglas and his wife, Patricia of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.John married Linda Landrum [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
