  1. 1.  Rev. Isaac Rolfe Boggis died on 6 Jul 1825 in Calais, France; was buried in Calais, France.

    Notes:

    The family home was at Fox Hall, Upminster, and then Langham Hall near Colchester. According to the entry in Cambridge University Alumni, the Boggis family trace their descent from the Boges, who were living at Bordeaux in the 12th century; some members of the family came to England in the 13th century and settled in London and East Anglia.

    Isaac, gave up a military career in order to pursue a career in the church and was ordained a priest in 1816.

    Died:
    Isaac Rolfe left England with his family in 1825, intending to settle in the south of France, but he died at Calais on 6th July 1825 and was buried there; his widow and children returned to England.

    Family/Spouse: Elizabeth Mayor Stubbs. Elizabeth (daughter of George Stubbs) died on 6 Mar 1852 in Badsey Vicarage; was buried in Badsey. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
