"Frederick was born in 1796 in PA. He accompanied his family on themove to OH, as a very young child. He was a very industrious man, buta poor manager. He was hired as a hand to work for the Boyers andwhen he eloped with their daughter Margaret, ( she was only 17) in1819, she was disinherited from her family. The marriage took placein Jefferson Co., IND. Her home was probably in

which was later turned into a field and her grave was lost. She andFrederick had a total of 8 children, six of whom we know and of whichMary Ann was the last and aged 7 when her mother died.
Frederick then married his second wife, a woman whom his childrencalled "Mime" and by her Jemima Largent had two children.
His third wife was very attractive and she stayed with him until shehad inticed him to sell his 80 acres farm , then stole the money andran away with another man.
Nothing is known of his fourth wife, excepting that by this time hewas very old and very poor. His third wife then dying, sent wordbegging him to visit her, but he refused to go. She had been desertedby the man with whom she had run away, after he robbed her ofFredericks money."
