Information on Marshall M. and Margaret Ann Huey and children comes from
Session Records of Second United Presbyterian Church, Brooklyn, New York
held by the Presbyterian Historical Society, 425 Lombard Street,
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Brooklyn Census of 1870 shows Marshall and Margaret Huey with seven
children born in New York. Marshall and Ann were born in Ireland. The
oldest child, Margaret, was twenty years old and born in New York, which
indicates Marshall and Margaret came to New York sometime before 1850.
The first two children were born in 1850 and 1852, then there is a gap
until the next child in 1861, which suggests there may have been two
different wives.
Marshall Huey is listed in the census as "Dry Goods Mcht. Ret.", Margaret
as "Keeping House", Robert M. as "Clerk in Store". Marshall's Real Estate
is valued at $9000 and his Personal Estate at $8000.
