    Henry was the youngest one of three brothers by his father's second marriage, and the only survivor of them. His brothers, Rev. John W. and George Douglas had died some two years ago. A sister, Miss Juliette Douglas is now the only survivor of his mother's family.

    Mr. Douglas leaves two sons, Archie and Percy and a daughter, Miss Katherine Waldo Douglas.

    Enlisted, 1896, in Troop 1, Squadron A, NYNG, in New York City. In the year of his enlisted the new Armory for Squadron A, 93rd Street and Madison Avenue, Manhattan, opened with a grand reception and ball. In April of 1897 as a member of Squadron A he paraded as escort to President Harrison at the dedication of the Grant Memorial. He served in Troop 1, Squadron A during the Spanish American War era. He was discharged from Squadron A in 1900.
