Per his son, Earl Gene Wethington, "James William Wethington was theyoungest child of his parents Thomas Jefferson and Nancy EllenWethington. His mother Nancy died when he was four years old."
James, most often called "Bill Rowdy", and lived with his parents onthe two hundred acre farm on Woods Creek. When he was older he wentto work at the saw mill in Liberty, Kentucky. He worked at thesawmill some thirty years. The sawmill was owned by his father-n-lawFelix Sherman Grooms. Ova and James (Bill) had four children togetherfrom their marriage. He did some farming after he left the sawmill,and later retired at the age for a social security pension. James'sbrother Andrew MacDonald Wethington at his death, willed to James someland and a trailer in the area. James (Bill) lived there until hisdeath in 1987.
