    B-OBITUARY: LESTER BINGAMAN IS KILLED IN TENNESSEE; The Jackson SunNewspaper, Madison County, Tennessee; Dated 11 June 1931; provided byLes Erler of Tennessee, family genealogist.
    "Lester Bingaman former Centralian, was killed last night at McKenzie,Tenn., when he came, he was employed an ice cream manufacturing plant,according to word received here by relatives.
    Mr. Bingaman was born east of Centralia and at the time of his deathwas aged about 28 years. He is survived by his widow and one son,L.R. Bingham; two sisters, Mrs. Verna Rogers of Gleason, Tenn., andMrs. Ila Brawner of Memphis, Tenn., four brothers, R. P. Bingaman ofthis city; Roy and Kenneth of Detroit, Mich., and Harold of ArkansasCity, Kans., two aunts, Mrs. W.M. Stonecipher and Mrs. W. H. Jones ofthis city and two uncles, Nelson McBride of this city and Bert McBrideof Dix.
    Mr. Bingaman and his family left here February 1 of this year forTennessee and they were planning to return to West Frankfort in ashort time. While here, he was employed as a Burlington railwayswitchman.
    Funeral arrangements have not been completed, pending the arrival of abrother from Kansas. Several of the relatives from this city areleaving about Saturday for McKenzie."

    MIAMI -- Les Bingaman, a Dolphin Coach Don Shula, died in his sleephere early today of an apparent heart attack. He was 44.
    Bingaman, who has been with the Dolphins since the club formed in1966, died almost a year after collapsing on the sidelines of theOrange Bowl. He was a three-time-all-pro with the Detroit Lions.
    Bingaman was the Dolphins' defensice line coach until this season."

    NOTE: Per Les Erler--"Lester Bingaman played on the McKenzie, CarrollCounty, Tennessee high school football team in 1939. Then he playedfor the University of Illinois and his number was 22. In 1947, hisnumber was 44 and at that time he was a co-captain for the DetroitLions (football). He was also an assistant coach under George Wilsonin 1969 for the Miami Dolphins."
