Your cousin Albert's birth certificate shows he was born on 18 June 1878 at
Whittlesford, registered in Linton, to Alice Douglas, father not given.
Your cousin Albert's marriage certificate shows he married Jane Elizabeth
Nunn at Linton Registry Office on 25 Feb 1899, his occupation machinist (we
can assume at Maynards factory) and her's factory hand, doubtless in Spicers
paper mills, the main employers of Whittlesfordians at that time. They were
living in Whittlesford, her father is given as Isaac Nunn, Albert's -no
entry; witnesses Charles and Emma Nunn. Jane was born in 1877 and her nearest
siblings were Emma, born 1875, and Charles, born 1879.
In 'Whittlesford Recalled: 100 years in the life of a Village' published
June 7 1977, page 62 refers to Mrs Jane Elizabeth Douglas, born July 19 1877,
the next page has her family tree and the next her with her eight siblings.
Page 14 'Edmund Runham, emigrated to Australia, taking with him fine skills
in carpentry and joinery ... and in wood carving too. .... Edmund's tools did
not go with him; happily they were bought by Harry Douglas's father, Albert,
another carpenter and engineer who passed them on to his son, along with his
skills.' Written by Mrs Pat Carter. "

Albert married Jane Elizabeth Nunn in 1899. Jane (daughter of Isaac Nunn and Susan Dunn) was born on 19 Jul 1877 in Whittlesford, Cambridgeshire, England; died in 1981 in Whittlesford, Cambridgeshire, England. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
