    Thelma's mother Ellie Bonifant was born in 1877, died when she was 74years old, and had two brothers and four sisters: John, Jerry, Clara,Rose, Hattie, Ellie. Her father John Edward Bonifant was born around1874-1875, and was over eighty years old when he died; He had somehalf brothers and sisters. The only one known for sure is MaryMcBride. Thelma's siblings were: Herman Bonifant, Sam Bonifant, andCatherine L. Bonifant. Herman's children are: Emma Jane, Carl(deceased), Leroy (deceased), and Max Bonifant. Sam's children are:Anna Marie and Sam H. (Buzz) Bonifant. Catherine's children are:Jackie and Nancy Grant.
    Thelma was sixteen years old when her first child Dorothy Mae Womaxwas born. Her first husband Carl L. Womax was twenty seven years oldat the time according to Dorothy Mae's birth certificate. Dorothy'shalf-sister Marjory Charnock Lee said in her letter of 2004, thatThelma's husband Carl was a soldier in World War I, but not too longafter he returned home he died of T.B., and then Thelma remarried toMarjorie's father William Charnock, and that William Charnock raisedDorothy as though she were his own child. Thelma's middle name Lucileis also spelled Lucille. Dorothy Mae Womax McCoy's (daughter) birthcertificate lists the middle name as "Lucile", and Marjorie CharnockLee (daughter) spelled her name as "Lucille" in the April 27th, 2004letter. "My mother's brother Herman Bonifant married my dad's sisterMary Charnock so we have double cousins", per Marjorie Charnock Lee,April 27, 2004 (Strasburg, Ohio). Both William and Thelma must havebeen very kind people, because Thelma kept her mother-n-law Mary Womaxwith her and cared for her until she too died of old age.
