4. | Juliana Catherine Spiller ![]() Notes: Juliana was one of 22 in the Spiller family and she had eleven of her own. When Walter passed away, she left England with 10 of her family, leaving Honora behind, she was the eldest and was very delicate, so to speak. Juliana was the first white woman to visit the Kimberley Diamond Mines in South Africa. She bought the Schooner "Mary Ogilvie" in Melbourne and had a Contract to deliver mail and passengers from Sydney to Norfolk Island and Lord Howe Island 4 times a year. The Schooner was bought and operated from 1879 and was wrecked 1894. After their loss, The Douglas family left Australia and bought property in Taveuni, Fiji Islands. Whilst in Australia, Juliana married Edward Harland, who had followed the family out to Australia. He was both deaf and dumb and the marriage didn't last, with Edward Harland going off to New Guinea. Juliana is buried in the Old Suva Cemetry,Korovou, Suva, Fiji Islands. Family/Spouse: Capt. Walter Michael Aubrey Douglas. Walter (son of Major Walter Richard Barnes and Christiana Isabella Douglas-Willan) was born in 1847; died on 22 Feb 1884 in Princes Field Farm, Waltham Abbey, Essex, England.
