Recently, by this compiler it was noted from the Olin Funeral Homerecords of Joy, Illinois received on 10 May 2008, in regard to PeterJuhl, that Peter, Florence, Evelyn (Peter's dau. Lena), and probablyLewis Edward Jacobs (son of Lewis I. & Florence) are also buried inthe same Lot 315 in the New Boston Cemetery, New Boston, MercerCounty, Indiana. The only stone on the lot is that of Peter H. &Florence Mae Hand Juhl's, and the funeral home markers are no longerpresent on the lot 315. Thankyou for your reply. Englebert&Anna Cathrine Julich had a daughterAnna Mary. She married Peter Herbertus Cossman. Their son,HenryHCossman Sr. married Christina Calenborne and they had a son,Henry HCossman Jr. Who was my grandfather. They had 7 children and they livedin Fulton Ill just across the river from Lyons Ia. Many of the clanare still there with their families. My parents Phyllis and Bob Joneslive in Fulton and I have 10 brothers sisters myself. Its quite alarge family. I know my mother had cousins in Clinton Iowa (lyons ispretty much the same town) named Rusk that own a gas station on thesouth side of town. Services for Wilbur L. Jacobs, 74, 2104 West 70th Street, Davenport(IA), are 1:30 p.m. Monday at McGinnis-Chambers & Sass, Bettendorf(IA). Burial is in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery with militaryrites conducted by the Davenport Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 828.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until services. Memorial may be made to theVolunteer Program at Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City.Mr. Jacobs died Friday, February 12, 1993, at the VeteransAdministration Hospital. Wilbur Jacobs was born July 26, 1918, in NewBoston, Ill., the son of Lewis and Florence Hand Jacobs. He marriedBonnie Lee Richards on Feb 27, 1975, in Rhode Island (Rock Island).He worked for John Deere Company, East Moline Works, retiring in 1988after 20 years. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a memberof the Davenport VFW Post 828. He enjoyed travel, fishing and sports.
Survivors include the widow; a stepdaughter, Willadean Fleming,Davenport; stepsons, Clyde Richards, Jacksonville, Fla.
