Niswender Rites Set For Monday

Z. H. "Shorty" Niswender, 66, longtime Gillette resident di ed Wednesd ay at Campbell County Memorial Hospital as the r esult of a pedestrian-car accident in Gillette.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Noecker F uneral Home Chapel in Gillette with Pastor Dave Eggebraate n officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Gil lette.
He was born January 5, 1911, to Harley F. and Alice Cozett a Scott Niswender of Lucas County, Iowa. He spent his child hood and attended school in Iowa and moved with his parent s to Wyoming in 1919. He completed his education in Campbel l County rural schools.
He homesteaded southwest of Gillette and worked for the Hud son Motor Company of Gillette as mechanic. He entered the A rmy in 1942. In 1945, after receiving his discharge, he ret urned to Gillette. He then married Lula Belle Clark in 1952.
Until his retirement in 1962, he had been employed by the B urlington Northern Railroad. He was a member of American Le gion Post 42 and The Eagles Lodge 2711.
A memorial has been established to the American Legion Pos t 42. Donations may be left at the Noecker Funeral Home.
Survivors include a step-son James Clark of Gillette, fou r brothers: Dwight of Thompson Falls, Montana; Wendell an d Oliff of Gillette; Darvin of Westville, Illinois; two sis ters: Mrs. Desma Doyle and Mrs. Veta Bell both of Gillette . Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceeded in death by two brothers.
