"Aunt Bessie" as she was lovingly referred towas notably the family historian. She faithfully kept newspaperarticles on the family as it grew in Illinois, and kept hand writtencopied records as well of the families history from the olderdescendants. A good example would be from Annie Love Blair's notes ofJanuary 1894. And even though the earlier records are sketchy, they doprovide a good basic foundation for family research. Copies of therecords are kept in the Blair Records of Jozett Marie Blair McCoy, adirect descendant.
