- Services for Willie Dean Douglas, 70, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie Range officiating. Interment will be at Clearview Cemetery. Born Dec. 15, 1933, in Blue, to the late Lee and Geraldine Bowles Wilson, she died July 6, 2004, at the local hospital.
She had been a member of Corinth Baptist Church for 30 years and was employed 15 years at Uniroyal before she retired in 1988. She and Harold Douglas Sr. were married 52 years ago in Gainesville, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; three sons, Harold Jr., Terry D. and Jeffrey, Ardmore; six daughters, Patsy Washington, Kathy Malone and Debra Drake, Ardmore, Phyllis Edwards, Detroit, Hope Briscoe, Lawton, Tracy Bryant, Ft. Bragg, N.C.; two sisters, Geraldine Moton and Imogene Booker, both Ardmore; a brother, A.V. "Big Man" Wilson, Gene Autry; three grandchildren whom she raised, Crystal Douglas, Che Rese and Anthony Edwards; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Douglas; two sisters, Lottie H. and Lee G. Wilson.
Bearers will be LeRoy and Allen Gay, Joe Booker Jr., Tony Christian, Randy Booker and Morgan Walker Jr. Honorary bearers are Edward Wrenn, Nathan Brown, Carol Douglas, Danny Wilson, Larry and Dennis Gay.
