GENESEO -- Miss Dorothy DeKezel, Geneseo, and Charles M. Netolicky,Davenport, were married at 5:15 p.m. Saturday in St. Malachy'sCatholic Church, Geneseo. The Rev. George Herbach officiated. Thebride is the daughter of Mrs. Augusta DeKezel, 306 North Vail St.,Geneseo, and the late Charles DeKezel. The bridegroom is the son ofthe late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Netolicky. The bride chose a streetlength gown of aqua polyester. A short aqua veil completed herensemble. Serving as matron of honor was Mrs. Darwin Johnson,Geneseo, sister of the bride. She was attired in a street lengthdress of pink polyester. Darwin Johnson, Geneseo, served as best man. Guests were seated by Ronald VanDeWoestyne and Duane Johnson, nephewsof the bride. OBITUARY OF DOROTHY M. (DEKEZEL) NETOLICKY
Dorothy M. Netolicky, 87, of Geneseo, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, ather home.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11,at St. Malachy's Catholic Church, Geneseo. The Rev. Michael Pakulawill celebrate. Burial will be in the North Cemetery, Geneseo.Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Vandemore Funeral Home,Geneseo, where the rosary will be recited at 6:45 p.m. Memorials maybe left to the Dorothy Netolicky Memorial Fund.
Dorothy was born May 24, 1918, in Geneseo, the daughter of Charles andAugusta Ghys DeKezel. She Married Charles Netolicky Aug. 28, 1971, inGeneseo. He preceded her in death in 1990.
Dorothy was employed as a secretary for 30 years at the John DeereSpreader and Harvester works in East Moline, retiring in 1976.
She was a member of the St. Malachy's Catholic Church, Circle 7-13 ofthe Altar and Rosary society and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Sheloved and enjoyed all her nieces and nephews and their families.
Survivors include six nieces, Marilyn Blair, Joyce Sunderland, JoanCox, Maxine Swanson, Janet Peacock, Debra Muller; seven nephews, DavidDeKezel, Mark DeKezel, Gerald VanDeWoestyne, Ron VanDeWoestyne, DuaneJohnson, Don Johnson, and Jeff Johnson; several great-nieces and-nephews, and great-great-nieces and -nephews; one brother-in-law,Darwin Johnson, Geneseo; and a special friend, Evelyn Kleinau,Geneseo. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and twobrothers.
