An undated newspaper clipping gives the following account of Harry R. Boots:
"The Death of Harry Boots. Prominent young man of Ellwood died on Saturday of Typhoid Fever.
"Harry Boots, teller of the Citizens National Bank of Ellwood, died at his home on Saturday afternoon, of typhoid fever. He was about 21 years of age. He had been sick for two weeks with the dread disease, and his friends hoped for his recovery. His system, however, could not rally from its effects, and heart failure developed, ending in his death. Mr. Boots was a former resident of New Brighton, having held a responsible position with the Union National Bank for several months. He was a nephew of E. R. Boots of Third avenue, New Brighton, and a cousin of John S. Boots of Fifth street, that place. Funeral services were held this afternoon in Ellwood. Relatives from New Brighton attended."
