TITLED: JAMES L. HAMILTON (husband)
EXCERPT: "........Hamilton has one of the coziest and most tastilyappointed cottage homes in the county, at No. 910 South Indianastreet, Greencastle. It is modern in every detail, with hardwoodfloors, beautiful woodwork throughout, decorated by an expertdecorator of Indianapolis, and in every part of the house there is astriking harmony of detail. The presiding spirit of this attractivehome is a lady of culture and refinement, known in her maidenhood asMary R. Heck, a native of Kentucky, of an excellent Southern family, and whom Mr. Hamilton married on May 19, 1900. She is the daughter ofAugustus D. and Samantha (Stroube) Heck, both of whom were born andreared in Bracken county, Kentucky, in which place they spent theirlives, both being now deceased, Mrs. Heck dying in 1879 and Mr. Heckfollowing her to the grave in 1904. He was a farmer and at one time atobacco planter and in his younger days handled fine horses. Mrs.Hamilton is one of three children, having two brothers living atAugusta, Kentucky, in which place Mrs. Hamilton was reared andeducated. This union has been without issue."
