Percy Douglas was injured on May 21st 1915 and again on Aug 27th 1916 and taken to a military hospital in Rouen.
Percy Douglas enlisted with the Liverpool Scottish Regiment and served on the Western front. After being wounded, he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps in August 1917. A Brisfit observer with 11 Squadron, he scored eight victories with his pilot, John Chick, between 12 and 15 March 1918, five victories being claimed in a single combat on 12 March.
The biographical information in the book "Above The War Fronts" says he came from Great Sutton, Chester and served in the Army Service Corps before joining the RFC in August 1917.
He served with No 11 Sqn until 17 March 1918, was with the School of Air Gunnery in May and in No 4 Training Depot Sqn in July. He left the RAF on 11 April 1919.
