"CLARENCE S. FARNER, 88, st. Bernice, died at 8:34 p.m. on April 04,1985. In Clinton Nursing Home. He was born October 31, 1896, inTangier. Farner was a retired coal miner and was also retired fromthe Milwaukee Railroad. Survivors include two sons, Chester ofUniversal and Bill of St. Bernice; Three daughters: Ruth Amburghey,Abilene, Kansas; Betty Blair, Covington, In.,; and Shirley Burke ofClinton, IN.; 20 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; Twostep-sons, Manley Smith of Mecca and Charles Smith of Melbourne,Florida. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Frist FuneralHome. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery. Friends may call from 4to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home".
