- Lucas was called "Lucky" by family and friends.
His obit found in the Adrian Daily Telegram dated Nov 27, 1967 states:
Luke C. Case, 60, of Jasper died Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in Bixby Hospital where he had been a patient 14 weeks. Mr. Case retired Dec. 31, 1966, from Brazeway, Inc. where he worked 14 years.
He was born in Ogden Township May 5, 1907. On June 16, 1926 he married Choice Boss, in Adrian.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ray A. and Norman A., both of Adrian; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Joyce) Woerner of Weston and Mrs. Ronald (Becky) Abbott of Jasper; two sisters, Cora Case and Bess Langenderfer, and four brothers, Harold, Don, Leo and Fred and ten grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were two brothers, Arthur and Calvin; four sisters, Ruth Tompson, Alice King, Blance, Knierim and Sydona LaFever, and one granddaughter.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Everiss Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Hinklin officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery.
