Jeremiah Lillie, son of Jeremiah Lillie, Senior, made a statement that
Benjamin Homans was the original settler on the New York Bank of the Delaware
River probably before the Revolutionary war. Jeremiah Lillie, Senior who
settled at the foot of Hog Island, came to the area prior to 1800.

In 1810 a charter was granted to the Narrowsburgh Bridge Company by the
Legislature of this state, Jeremiah Lillie was named in the act. They were
authorized to build a substantial bridge, twenty five feet wide across
the Delaware River at the Narrows, in the Big Eddy in the County of Sullivan
and collect tolls.
I am interested in connecting with all decendents of Jeremiah Lillie. He
died in 1818 in Sullivan Co., NY. As of yet I have not been able to find
a grave for him or his wife. Jeremiah Jr. is buried across the river in
PA.
