FRED LOVE, ORION, PASSES AT AGE 67
Funeral Services to Be Held Tomorrow Afternoon in Farm Home.
Orion, Oct. 28 (1940). -- Funeral services for Fred Love, 67, who diedin his home one mile west of Orion, Saturday afternoon, will be heldat 2 tomorrow afternoon in the home. The Rev. C.A. Litchfield of CoalValley will officiate. Burial will be in Western Cemetery. Mr. Lovesuffered a stroke on Labor Day and had not been well since. He wasborn Nov. 12, 1872, in Western Township, the son of James and AnnaLove. On Feb. 20, 1895, he married Clara Stevens at the bride's homewest of Orion. Mr. Love attended rural schools near Orion andbusiness college in Davenport. He lived on farms in Rock Island andHenry Counties all his life. He was supervisor of Western Townshipfor several years. Survivors are the widow; three daughters and twosons, Mrs. Florence Erickson, Mrs. Desil Malmen and Mrs. GertrudeJohnson of Orion; Edwin of Moline and Harold of Orion; sevengrandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, Asher Love ofOrion; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Pearce of Rock Island, Mrs. Etta Chaseof Orion and Mrs. Mabel Ekstadt of Santa Ana, Cal.; aunt Mrs. MaryGarrety, 102, of Orion.
