- The death of George Douglas, aged 63, was registered 1862/Q1 Bath.
From the National Probate Calendar 1862: 29 August. The Will with a
Codicil of George Douglas late of the City of Bath Gentleman
deceased who died 10 March 1862 at Bath aforesaid was proved at
Bristol by the oath of Susannah Michell Douglas of the Parish of
Lyncombe and Widcombe in the said City Spinster the Daughter the
sole Executrix. Effects under ?1,500.
The marriage of Susannah Michell Douglas to John Bence was
registered 1862/Q2 Bristol.
In the 1871 census at Trafalgar Cottage, Lyncombe and Widcombe,
Bath: John Bence, aged 53, no occupation living on house property,
born at Twerton (Som), wife Susannah M, aged 42, born at Swanswick
(Som), Mary Douglas, aged 82, widow, mother[-in-law], annuitant,
born at Kingston near Langport, deaf, and a servant.

Beechen Cliff.)
The death of Susannah Michell Bence, aged 43, was registered
1871/Q4 Bath. From the National Probate Calendar 1872: 7 March.
The Will of Susannah Michell Bence (Wife of John Bence) late of
Trafalgar Cottage in the City of Bath who died 24 November 1871 at
Trafalgar Cottage was proved at Bristol by the said John Bence of
Trafalgar Cottage Gentleman the sole Executor. Probate being
granted under certain Limitations. Effects under ?600.
The death of Mary Douglas, aged 89, was registered 1875/Q3 Bath.
